Archive of info about building a bootable linux distro... Kind of a howto, with some example documentation, and scripts. No binaries, but enough to get started. I went through the process to build something to boot off of a USB key / CF card. The info herin would be very handy for someone wanting to do something similar. I probably need to go and add more documentation though.

A little linux kernel module (2.4x) which will allow getting / setting various information for a Sony Vaio. Currently it supports LCD information as well as APM type battery / time left information.
The above image shows the lcd brightness level (0-7). Two power sources were found, AC, and Battery 1. The power level values are some value remaining / peak value, percentage of power left. When on battery power, the valst values are seconds of time remaining as well as hours:minutes left.
Two simple gkrellm modules for the Sony Vaio. One will allow / show the brightness setting of the LCD panel. The other will show power source and battery percentage / time left. Both modules require the installation of the above vaiostat kernel module.
A quick little perl script to manage RPM updates. You select your update server, path location, and which achitectures you want updates for. It will scan a list of installed packages, looking for any newer ones. If run as root, you may also Freshen your downloaded packages. Dependency problems are noted for you to manage manually. Works much better for me than up2date.
